Cultural Collaboration at BSB Arts, Izmir

Introduction

Effective December 2023, Junoon began presenting Classical Dance at Arts Centres in Izmir, Turkey. Beginning with a demonstrative performance at a Children’s Arts Centre named “Issikent”,
Junoon has now entered into a partnership for Classical Arts exchanges with BSB Arts in Izmir, Turkey. We present and curate performances and workshops of Indian Classical Dance and discover new pathways to intertwine Sufi, Turkish, Balletic and Indian Classical Dance concepts and choreography at the Arts Centre.

This program, carefully designed by guidance, support and intensive training from Ms. Burcu Sürmeli Borovali, is meant to prepare and arm our Classical Dancers with Classical Ballet technique, form and instruction, at the foundational level.

THE MENTAL CONDITIONING, PLANNING AND SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR DANCERS –

This program, envisioned by Ms. Burcu Sürmeli Borovali, provides essential mental preparedness and lessons for dancers to remain mindful, sturdy, secure and strong over the course of their demanding dancing journeys.
